01

Who we are

Takween Connect is a free-website programme for Muslim-owned businesses, operated by Takween Digital Services. Takween Digital Services is the controller of the personal information described below.

02

What we collect

When you apply, we collect the details you enter in the form: your business name, type, how long you have operated, website and social media links, Google profile details, a description of your services and challenges, any credentials you list, and your contact name, email address and phone number. We also record your consent choices (programme terms and feedback) and the date and time of your application.

03

How we use it

We use your information to review your application, contact you about it, and, if you are accepted, to deliver your website. We send you an email confirming your application, and a notification of it goes to our team. Applications are reviewed by a person. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or sell it to anyone.

04

Spam protection and analytics

The application form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. Turnstile may process technical information such as your IP address and browser details for that purpose. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free, to understand how the site is used in aggregate.

05

Who we share it with

We use service providers to run the site and send email, including Cloudflare (hosting, database and spam protection) and our email delivery provider. They process data only to provide those services. We will only feature your business, feedback or name in our portfolio or social channels with your separate, specific consent.

06

How long we keep it

We keep application details for as long as needed to review your application and, if accepted, deliver and support your project. Unsuccessful applications are not kept longer than necessary.

07

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, object to or restrict how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact the team through the details on our programme pages. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
